Not tried them yet, looked longingly at the motion-Pro ones before ordering these, may still get one of those later on, when I've had some practice at changing tyres and fixing punctures.

Not quite sure what you mean by raised edges - the link has photos of the lever ends, i'll take more photos/ angles if that would help
