I spent quite some time geting my Africa Twin toolkit sorted. Mind you the standard one was great really and you could do most things with it. There were only 'quality' improvements that needed to be made. Where the Twin won was that you had somewhere to put the kit without having to fit a tailpack or panniers. This is one of my little but minor bug bears with an otherwise great bike. There is just nowhere to store any bits and bobs. Even the basic standard toolkit barely fits in the slot provided on the Tenere.

I was amazed to discover that the issued toolkit was devoid of a hex spanner for the front axle and a spanner for the rear wheel nut.

Great list JMO and one I will be thinking through and working from. After all, there is no point in reinventing the wheel!
