When you do this you personalise the bike, to the point it may become difficult to sell on - depending on what you do.
my advice is to try some other lower cost options first, I must have posted a dozen posts with the same message,,,
Underwear. Don't discount good seamless underwear, it will make the difference between a 100 mile ride and 300 miles. Honestly, I've tried it. You can get m'cycle specific boxers that are wicking and seamless (feel a bit strange but well worth it).
Your pants, I can't cover more than 150 miles in my leathers, but 300 is easy with the rally suit on. again, it's the eams that are the problem area.
I've never tried cycle shorts, but the principle is the same, so I can't see why it wouldn't improve things.
Mobility in the seat, move about a bit, even if it's just a mile or two standing up, you need to excercise your cafl muscles to keep the blood flowing around your feet anyway. Another benefit of standing up is you cool your tuch!
If this fails then consider an AirHawk, it's one of those lifetime purchases and you can take it from bike to bike - and they are brilliant. 700 miles day after day with one of those.
Or you could get the seat re-done.... but you still wouldn't be sure it would work when you parted with your cash, and it can't be easily undone.
choices choices .....
