On balance, if you want to commute, and carry your books/files/laptop/lunch then the OEM ones are just the job, narrow, good looks, waterproof (to a point) easy to fit and remove, and the mounting frames don't upset the lines of the bike. OEM Topbox and a kreiga rucsac would be better for normal commuting IMO. Laptops don't really like vibration all that much the Kreiga rucsac I got from someone on the forum (

) with a laptop pouch makes much more sense as well as being several hundred pounds cheaper.
If you work in the middle of the moroccan mountains it might be a different matter however
