A recent trip to the Dolomites proved tricky for some of the 'lighter' orange trail bikes riding in the group.
Very steep trails with many hairpins saw the brakes boiling into submission resulting in the bikes having to be 'rested' en route down the trails.
My Tenere though, not a problem.
I put it down to the mass of the front and rear hubs enabling heat to be dissapated away from the calipers/pads.
Now removing a disc may cause over heating of the brakes, especially if the bike has extra load aboard.
Timpo.
