         The Zumo itself just acts as an external hard disk (2 actually, 1 for the internal memory and one for the SD card if it is inserted). So adding routes, copying track logs, managing music and images are all perfectly possible on a Mac (or any other operating system for that matter).
         
        
 Mapsource (the software to draw routes on a computer) on the other hand is Windows only. But Garmin do offer some alternatives on their web site:
