Hi Jo' - I'm not familiar with the X-Racing can (quick google) ok, now I am: http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=PqYA5Y9

(said in a Neo "whoa - I know kung fu!" stylee)

I haven't seen the X-racing one in the metal, but looking at the photos in the link above, I'd say the OTR looks (is) much better made, especially in titanium x

In fact he logo on the X-Racing can is enough to make me stump up the extra cash!

That said, objectively, there isn't much of a difference if you compare it to the standard length OTR can - although the mounting position of the X-Racing can looks to be even more out of line/place? I'm not sure about the X-Racing mounting bracket either - looks a bit of an afterthought?

On the plus side, I guess if you intend to run luggage as well, then it looks like the X-Racing pipe still allows the original pannier frame locations to be used? And the boxes will cover up the nasty logo and shiny stainless steel straps x

Ok, so I'm a tart (and a snob) when it comes to stuff like that - but the bottom line is I went for the OTR can as a) they would customise it to my specification (shorter, no cat) and b) I'm getting my front suspension through OTR too, and trust that their exhaust will perform the way they discribe...

(oh, and c) I wasn't aware there was an alternative until you mentioned X-Racing! x)
