Got: Open Cans, New handle bar (original to back sweeped for my taste), smaller flasher, High fender, lighter tail (Twice modded...) , Chainguard off (looks nastier)

Want: TT GPS holder clamp (Ordered), Flat saddle, wind screen extender, extra dB Killer for the ride with the wife

(I ordered and payed TT Holder bracket/clamp by C Schrader zubehr shop in Frankfurt three weeks ago but no delivery yet.... Can I trust them? anyone knows?)

I could do with the German engine/side guards which look good for about 129.00 and cheaper and better then the Yam ones.

cheers
Stridey

Mods done:
Magura Handlebar
Acerbis handguards
Electric outlet
Heated grips
Yamaha engine guards and bashplate
Nology ignition cable and NGK iridium spark plugs
Yamaha Panniers
TKC 80 tires
DNA Airfilter
TT Garmin 2680 holder
BMW R1200GS crossbar (above the handlebar)
Held Tankbag (the strap is already ripped, don't recommend it)

Mods wanted:
WP front and rear shocks (I was told they are coming this May or so)
Single can exhaust (don't really like the OTR one)
Ironbraided brake lines
Rust-proof chains and sprockets
Rust-proof brake discs
Chopping off the rear end.
SW-Motech tankbag and tankring

ernibert 07-04-09 19:24

well, one argument for me to buy the tenere was the symmetric back - never will add a single can exhaust. ;-)

What I want Yamaha to do is
- remove the turbulence behind the screen
- allow any tires usually used such an enduro (in Germany we're not allowed to put on other tires than Tourance or Sirac)

aidanjmick 14-07-09 22:46

mods done:
givi rear rack
powerbronze rear hugger
turbulance stopper

mods want;
bigger screen
have the balls to wheelie
decide on a tank bag

I have TKC80, and the dealer put them on for me in Frankfurt.

Voted for tyres but...

Mods complete:
  1. KTM Handguards - Excellent
  2. NickW909 Turbulance Stopper - Works a treat cheers Nick
  3. Oxford Heated Grips - Simply brilliant
  4. Slightly chopped tail - Kept a legal plate, looks good
Mods want:
  1. Tyres - Not exactly a mod but I want smooth, grippy, quiet running and look good
  2. Centre Stand - Uncool but fantastic for maintenance and parking
  3. GPS - Take the strain out of long distance riding

tripletom 30-10-09 21:58

Tony, look at the Bridgestone Battlewings. Road biased and very good on road.

Nelis 30-10-09 22:34

I want ... I want ... I want ...

We are like children in a toy shop. I am as bad I confess but I would need a bankers bonus to complete any one of my wish lists.

Maybe we should show our wives/partners/family this thread in time for Christmas (Royal Mail permitting).
