researching exhausts for my tenere I'm at the crossroads between

1) remove cat (cheapest, but irreversible)

2) exan (looks best, arguably)

3) mtc TWIN cans

I reckon all would make a good solid sound, but which option is less noisy? How is the mtc twin cans vs single can sound level?

The least noisy option will unquestionably be the de-cat stock silencer.

The Exan is the quietest of all the single can systems available for the Z (that I have heard/followed, and that's most of them).

The MTC twin can set up is a lot quieter than the single can system (which can be an aquired taste in terms of noise - some love it, others hate it).

Thanks for instant reply. How does the exan compare to the mtc twin?

About the same noise-wise I'd say. The MTC twin has a deeper tone though, if that's what floats your boat?

Deep sounds nice and the youtube video of the twins sounds great. Though perhaps I might change my mind after 30 mins on the highway...
If you say the decatted OE silencer is a lot less noisy, then that might be the safer solution.
