Hi Kev,
some good news for your O2 eliminator for XT660Z. I ride with PCV mounted and I think it work fine, but not at 100% When I ride for a long time under 4000rpm, I think A/F ratio became more lean. If you tell me that with your O2 eliminator, PCV adjust A/F ratio for all rpm range, I'll buy it! Thank's for your support :) |

I know longer make the O2 eliminators. You have two choices make your own Kev O2 eliminator or but an O2 Optimizer from Dyno jet for a XTR & fit it to your XTZ. |
"make your own Kev O2 eliminator"
what do you mean? do you have some istruction to make it? |

I see Off The Road now list the PCV with O2 Optimizer.
http://www.off-the-road.de/Power-Commander-XT660R-X-O2-Optimizer.html http://www.powercommander.com/downloads/22-020/install/pcv/eng22-020.pdf http://www.carpimoto.it/EN/Engine/34411_Power-Commander-V-for-Yamaha-XT-660-R-X-09-european-only-O2-Optimizer-included.htm The difference between my O2 eliminator & Dyno jets, my O2 eliminator allows you to tune the mapping to any A/F ratio in the closed & open loop circuits. Dynojet's O2 Optimizer allows you to tune the open loop to any A/F ratio but fixes the closed loop to 13.6:1. With my O2 eliminator you can remove the O2 sensor if you want, with Dynojet's O2 Optimizer the O2 sensor still has to be installed for the O2 Optimizer to work. |
What should I buy Kev?
Hi Kev,
Mate, I've ordered an Akro 2-1 system with headers with no Lambda sensor. I'm also awaiting stage II DNA filterbox cover & filter. With the exhaust, I've also ordered an OTR (kawasaki??) O2 eliminator which I assume was a waste of money. I gather from what I've read that I'll need a PCV and your fuel mod to get this set up to work properly? To build a Kev Mod I'd need to follow the instructions in your Mod Bible? Wonder if you'd be interested in making up a batch for some of us if the price was right?? Cheers, boneman |
The problem is I made 50 of these O2 mods over the last year & had to sell them at my cost price to get my money back, as know one want the mod.
I had to order 1.5m lenghths of the nickle copper tubing & a 100 temp sensors at a time. To make one off's is not worth it for me as I would have quite a few left overs. I have just sent an Email to Kev2 to find out if he has any left over tubing, I will get back to you. |
Thanks Kev, I understand
That's no worries Kev, I wouldn't expect you to incur a cost to help us out. The fact that you offer so much advise for free on this site is legendary. We all appreciate it!
I wonder if I should send the original headers back in exchange for ones with a mount for the lambda sensor or get someone to weld in a lambda sensor mount so that I can use a Dynajet O2 optimizer as an alternate set up to one of your fuel mods? What do you think? Thanks again, Jason |
