I went & fitted secondhand guards apparently designed for a DT125 - fit perfectly but are only good against wind & very minor brush, as all plastic & no bar-end fitting.....

Finally got a set of Yamaha hand guards from :ebay:

To be honest, I think the others would have fitted if they had the correct sized bolt to use with the original bar end weight.

And as you all said, they have Acerbis stamped on the inside lol

If you look at the 1st pic, the problem is the inside of the bars. You can see a smaller diameter within which stops the fitment in the 2nd pic from going in properly.

The 3rd pic is just to show the difference in length.

Fitments aside, even holding the handguards in position, they would not fit the XT.

I have them on both my XTR & XR..
If yer need pics of how I fitted them..yell out..

I'm looking for a new set of hand guards and have seen these on ebay so would like to know how you fitted them if there are problems. Pic's would be useful if poss.
