I know this is an old thread but is there any updates regarding the screens for the newer models? Has anyone else fitted one since this thread was posted?
I've started using the bike for travelling to work and the wind in the chest can be a bit of a pain at times. It's not too bad during daylight hours but at 3 or 4 in the morning it can get a bit chilly. |

Hi,
I have an MRA screen, it has helped loads. I purchased the bike with the thought of touring, abit. I was finding it hard work doing any big roads. the wind made me hold on tight. It is possible to adjust the height and angle which I like and after abit of playing I found a nice spot. It definatly doesn't totally shield me, if I angle it up abit I get helmet jiggle, ouch. I had to spray the front bit and remove the standard 'shield' http://www.windshield-shop.com/Winds...RNB_black.html http://i1028.photobucket.com/albums/...t/P1010286.jpg http://i1028.photobucket.com/albums/...t/P1010225.jpg It's not perfect, I had to fill a gap with some foam to stop air coming under. |
Thanks for the quick replies. I have been considering the Puig screen as there doesn't appear to be much on the market. Would you say that it was worth the money?
With the MRA screen, can it be used with the original headlight surround or does it have to be removed? |
Depends what colour your bike is I reckon.
Mine being white it looked pants, like it was an add-on. It clashed with the big red sticker too. But I think if the bike was black it would've looked better with the original surround. |
