Nice day for it, sun's out not a cloud in the sky.

Well I have it. Covered the massive mileage of 20miles to get home. Roads appeared to be a touch greasy but its better than the black ice that was out this morning. Low sun hampered progress as Hornet DS peak not as good as the Arai TourX one for shading the sun. Had to shuffle the garage around to get it in as it was a smidge wider across the tank covers than the 660.
1st impressions over those 20 miles were it is heavier than the 660z but is a shed more stable and the CoG is a lot lower, the flighty top heavy feel the Ten can sometimes exhibit is replaced by a solid stable sensation. Seat lower than the 660z but suspension doesn't compress as much so higher than I expected and the suspension oozes much more quality in ride comfort/damping than the 660Z does (but we all know that was specced down to a price). Not a lot to add until I get a bit more use out of it, it still needs running completing so can't stretch the engine too much but its still grunty (even in Touring mode and full TCS) . Rear brake felt a little grabby but that could be compared to my 660 which was due some rear pads (I seem to use the rear a lot from the wear rate the 660 showed with the fronts only 1/2 worn).. Pics but it looks the same as any other one at the mo.

A NICE BIKE!!!!

Be careful on the roads, although I am the other end of the Country from you (normally alot warmer!), they have gritted the roads this morning, and it is icy underfoot.

mac-cos 16-11-10 10:27

yup its brass monkeys weather up here too. temp in sun says 10+ deg C but shaded ground underfoot has ice/frost and local weather online says -1 dec C. Think I may need to ACF50 it even if it warms up as the gritters will have salted the roads now, especially the spokes if Rays are anything to go by.

That's gotta be a great way to spend a Monday morning mac-cos :)

Looking forward to hearing lots more about the bike in due course.

Nice bike.

You need to shrink your pictures though, they take an age to download (on my crap connection anyway). 800 x 600 pixels and under 200kb are what I use. I shrink them with BDsizer before loading them onto Photobucket.. Its freeware.

Good luck and keep it shiny side up.

Nice one Ray, Macca needs all the help he can get with IT..... :respeck:

Iain - Nice bike fella, I must confess that on more than one occasion I've considered chopping in the XJR for a silver one that's been in the dealers for a good while. Not the best colour, but it is growing on me.....
