Secondly, you dont want a hot engine as a hot engine can burn out valves, melt pistons etc. All the water cooler does is add extra surface area to the water system and allows the heat to be blown off by ambient air. Like adding a small radiator. All in all just aids heat transfer. |

Richard at Dynojet called me soon after I spoke to you (even though Reception said he was on the Dyno all day, and he would call me later). Well, you were right Simon (and Kev too), thank you for helping me out. By the way, I did thank Powertech in the "Praise or Shame " area of the forum. I'm very grateful, thank you Simon. (See The Market Place, Praise or Shame, Hall of Fame, Powertech Dynojet dealer.) And thank you for the Power Commander, it was the best price out of all of them, and a great bit of kit too. (Simon from Powertech USED to own The Carbon Cans Company, CCC. He sold it a while ago, and has nothing to do with them now. But he is getting a new range of exhausts underway...) |
Yes Simon is a top bloke, and we know all about CCC and that he was the original founder until he sold it to someone who couldn't run a bath, let alone an exhaust company. It was after all my recommendation to you to get in touch with Simon for the Power Commander. Best prices in UK and a great service follow up.

Can Simon get the LCD 200 cheap? ;)
|
He was by far the cheapest for the Power Commander.... try him on

It's certainly worth the thought. But currently, I unfortunately can't afford something like that at the mo. Can just sit and window shop :smilies0119: |
Update..
My bike is going back in for a Dyno in about 3 weeks time, meanwhile I am running my original map, and my bike is going really well. I am on a 5HP/6LBS FT gain at the moment.....so if anyone is wondering, yes that makes a great and very noticeable difference, (i even squeezed my knees against the tank when i gave it some full throttle the other day!!) and I will be really pleased if I get any more gains when the Dyno is back in action. So, I am really pleased with my Conversion so far...I did think a Standard bike was a bit slow, but it had a nice broad, soft power curve to it. Now, its just the same nice curve, just alot higher than standard! Very nice and rideable, with the pull !! Oh, and miniscule surging now!! Result. I am looking forward to seeing how Kev gets on with his Camshaft project, but I wouldn't want to change my power curve too much... |
My cam arrived today from the USA.
I am away in Sydney for Thursday & Friday for work, so hopefully Saturday I will fit it & see what happens. |
