Ghettotrapp
Made the link pipe up today for the Ghettotrapp (Micron race silencer, Supertrapp end plates) that I'd made last year. Quite pleased with it, and it sits nicely up against the bike. Total weight is a little under 4kg. Sounds well too.

Hi Tripleton
Hi
Can you just make a link pipe??? what is the diameter? Thanks :family: |
If I was making a link pipe to suit a silencer you already had, then I'd like to have the silencer to make sure it all lined up ok. That's the plan with the Ti pipe. I'm hoping for that one to be around 3kg though.

so you are making a full Ti link and silencer, right ?
looks god so far keep us posted :smilies1349: RIDE ON |

OK I know this is an old post but just wondering how loud the ghettotrapp was and if you can still make link pipes?
|
Hullo Mark,
It was quite loud; between the OE Akrapovic and the MTC single silencer loud. I made another silencer for a friend's F800GS, and a modified link pipe for him. My OE Akrapovics are wearing out; I had to repair the 2-1 pipe the other day, so I will likely make a new single link pipe up in the new year for another silencer. I want to take it either under the seat and use a CBR600RR silencer with the plate and light below, or a single pipe up the RHS and use an off the shelf Supertrapp. |
Thanks for the info. Sounds interesting. Underseat would certainly be different.
I fancied an mtc for ease but I'm running oem panniers so think that's them out of the equation. I have a supertrapp off an xt500 that I'm considering fitting, not sure if diameter of pipework is close, failing that it'll probably be a micron but either way I'll have to get a link pipe made up |
