The standard Yam OE 2-1 pipe fits perfectly into a 2" i.d link pipe, which is what I used before. The OE silencer is under-seat with two outlets so to fit a different under-seat silencer isn't too far a leap. It's just the faff then of re-siting the rear light and indicators. However given the prevalence of dash-cams and wannabe trafpol knobbers* I am seriously considering moving my number plate under the seat and thus a little harder to see.
*I do a lot of filtering on my commute, and it only takes one grumpy bod to get the arse on and make my life a bit harder. (I'll take the tin foil hat off now) |
Brilliant, that saves me taking the standard off to measure it's diameter, thanks.
Yeah the number of dashcams and folk complaining of other folks driving for nothing is shocking, so putting it at a bit more of an angle is a good shout. Be interested to see what you do with the exhaust |
Well measured the supertrapp end and it's inch and three quarters so I'll have to get the link pipe made with a reduction towards the end :013:

Finished the link pipe and Supertrapp that I reconditioned. Will tidy up the Akra pipes and get them sold off now. Pleased with it, although it's not perfect. |
That looks well, I like the exhaust. Seat looks interesting too, any more/full pictures of it?

A friend did it for me to my spec. It's distressed leather with a red diamond stitch. The foam is heavier and taller and was done by Saxon seats back in 2009. I did want fringing on it but he wouldn't do that. Maybe when this one has worn. |
Very unusual and unique. Suits it with the white, looks really well
