Gentlemen, could anyone, who has the chamfered bottom ARD cases, give me an info on how the cases perform regarding the packing? What I'm trying to find out, is if any bits and pieces tend to slip down and collect on the bottom due to gravity or rattling. A plain and straight bottom case seems more logical to me, but I stand corrected. Further, some infos on the sizes would be great. How do the 10" handle on a daily basis such as filtering through traffic etc. Thanks in advance. Phil.

Yepp, thats when the cases where clean, now they start to look better with every mile! Here are some pics from the current trip in Spain. These cases are excellent! Anyone doing longer trips don't hesitate and get them. I mount them on regular Touratech racks and as always, white IS the faster color!
On one of the pics you can see the 12V socket that I velcroed in to the case, that is hot wired to the battery. I just plug in my inverter to get 230V and charge my laptop, camera, cell phone etc. on the go. Thanks Roger for this excellent piece of equipment!

I too got some ARDcases from Roger earlier in the year 899 (inc VAT and delivery) for panniers, top box, Touratech frames, ARDcases rack and a natty picnic table.

Worked really well, didn't leak on the monsoon trip to Moscow via Tiblisi (and by ****** did it rain!)

Slightly disappointed that the bits of screw protruding into the top box caused beer cans to puncture (three times in three weeks!) It lent an unusual bouquet to the box. However, I think I fixed that with plastic nut caps - which look quite smart in black.

Having said that they are excellent! Great build quality, survived 6500 miles of touring and still look like new.

Watertight?

Highly interested in these panniers.. Anyone knows if they are watertight? And I don't mean rainproof, but more 'river-crossings-proof? :)
Thanks

They are very waterproof - based on the ridiculous amount of very heavy rain on my UK > Istanbul > Tiblisi > Moscow > Berlin > UK trip.

It really, really rained, really, really heavily.

For full on waterproofing for gear in my panniers and as a lash on holdall I use Lomo drybags:

They are really waterproof.

Did I say how much it rained?

Hey. I feel like I should listen to you and go with ARD panniers. However, I went with Holan cases and am regretting it now. I have placed an order on the 19th of March and they still haven's sent them. I messaged them after a week and on the 24th of March lady said that they should be ready for sending next week (around 31st of March). I waited till yesterday to see if they will message me or anything, but nothing. I sent them a nice (tried really hard) email asking about the situation and got no answer, although they have changed the status of the order to Completed, whatever it means..

I am really confused and a bit worried at this point as I paid like around 500GBP and these guys are not really answering. I will call them tomorrow and see what is up. Anyone had similar experience with them? Thanks

No. Mine arrived from Poland less than a week after I placed the order. Mind you, that was back in 2013. I did order some inner bags from Holan last month, and again, they arrived in less than a week.

31st March was only nine days ago mind, and don't forget we've had the Easter break so you can take four days off the nine for public holidays etc. here and in Poland, which makes five days. I wouldn't panic yet, they'll probably arrive tomorrow! ;)

No excuse for not replying to your emails though. Of course it is entirely possible that they (Holan), like OTR, shut down completely for a week during public holidays in their respective countries.

Thanks for your reply. I opened a fresh beer and calmed down a bit. :D
Anyway, I really hope to get the panniers in the next two weeks as I am planning quite a trip in beginning of May and can't afford to leave without the panniers :) I will update you guys on the situation.

Heey! Good news, I got my package today..! My father checked the box and it seems that all received items are correct. I will update you guys next Saturday when I will be mounting the boxes to my brand new Tenere :) Pictures included :) :098:
