Here's a few pics of my Bike with the POD now installed, I am extremely happy with the results.
As you can see the POD is almost invisible on the black bike and just looks like its meant to be there. I still have to tidy up the wiring and the exhaust tips need a final tweak to get them lined up properly but all in all I am very happy with it. Thanks to GStry for the fantastic work on the POD and all the assistance, I look forward to seeing what else you have in store for the 660z. One more final shout out to Krish at Powerflow on the Bluff, The exhausts are fantastic and such good value for money. The workmanship is excellent and I also appreciate the time and effort put in on your holiday :) a BIG thumbs up *:thumleft: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7165/6...803f1a0a_z.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7172/6...6e6c9757_z.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7021/6...c60ae373_z.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7173/6...00934d49_z.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7169/6...3e6dc87f_z.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7156/6...b6ab19bd_z.jpg |
Bike looks great MD. With your pipes you don't even see the pod from the side, well done you did a good job.
I have a few things in the pipeline :BaseballHat_LNY2EG: |
Dusting off this thread a bit...
Are those amazing pods still available? Rand to GBP is looking good making this more affordable to UK folks... a group buy perhaps? |
Yes, They are still available.
Will look at a group buy as well, if interested. |
GStry,
You've got pm... |
Hi GStry,
Only last night, I posted a piece in this forum reviewing all my mods and highlighting what I wanted to do next, based on 23,000km in S America on my Ten. I was saying that I wanted under-seat storage, and posted a link to 'an ADV Rider from S Africa who made a great pod a couple of years ago', before seeing this thread and realising it was YOU!!!! How much would one of your pods cost me - still 3000 Rand / 2500 without light? And do you have one available to ship now (I'll be back on the road in a few weeks)? I have some rather nice LED indicators on the bike (from Touratech). Would they fit? And the most important question (couldn't work out the answer from reading thro the thread) - Is it compatible with single cans? http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps76450235.jpg Gotta do my sums and check my budget before committing (lots of work required on the old girl whilst I'm pit-stopping here in Santiago), but would be good to know if getting one now is an option. Thanks, mate, Paul |
Hi Paul.
PM sent |
I would be interested in a group buy to the UK, if anybody else is interested to save a bit of cash?
|
Hi Wuming,
I'm almost ready to pull the trigger with shipping to UK, I'm based in London but surely we can arrange sth. Some extra info from pm conversation with GStry: If you have dual can setup (LeoVince in my case) right can link pipe might need extending by about 25-30mm to give enough clearance for the pod. My right can is offset to the centre of the bike so pushing it out will actually bring things into perfect symetry :) Lenght of the compartments: 280mm tyre levers fit into front compartment, rear compartment is 315mm long. I have one more question to GStry ... is the back cover threaded or do you need to unbolt 6 bolts to gain access? |
The rear access is a marine hatch cover, it is waterproof and is screw on.
