great Mod!

I wonder if you could fix the license plate to the plug that closes off the storage space. Makes it a bit less visible and bulky.

Ni3ous 20-12-11 19:20

He cant, because license plate is too wide to fit betwen exhaust pipes.

duibhceK, I tried that but as Ni3ous mentions, it gets in the way of the exhausts, if your plate is legal.

Finally finished and pics to prove it.
I'm very happy with the result.
Have added two sets of indicators for better side visibility when turning. and two sets of tail/stop lights for better braking. Added reflectors tape to the rear hatch.

fair enough, it's a great mod anyway.
A Belgian plate would probably fit nicely between the exhausts, but yours does look a bit larger.

Thanks mate.

Nice work.

I'm interested in one, so let us all know how much and when etc..

Could make an exellent extra fuel tank perhaps if it's fuel tight?

GStry 27-12-11 18:49

The Pod is R3000.00 South African Rand, excluding shipping (about 235BP) this includes the Pod, Tail Tidy, Tail Light, Indicators and the Resistors for the LEDs, all the nuts, bolts and spacers.

R2500, (195 BP) without the lights as there is a big choice out there and you may find something that suits you better. The Tail Tidy has been made to fit the Tail Light I have choosen but would think the same light would be available everywhere.
The exhaust would need to be modified slightly, as the exhaust mounting point moves back to the mounting point provided, shown in the pics. Many use this point anyway but I had to modify my Akrapovics which was not a big deal.

Here's my rear - do you think it will fit OK?

Thx.

Yes, it should be fine.
You are already using the rear mounting point for your exhaust, so if you need to make any ajustments they should be minor.
It looks like the rear Tail Light you have is the same one I use in my Tail tidy.
