pipes

If you guys are looking for a pipe for the tenere. I just got mine done from TK pipes in Australia. He offers a single pipe on the left made out of aluminium and on the right is a tool box/pipe. My bike was dyno'd and got 3hp more out of it. Even better for you guys O/S is the price. Check out the link below.

What are the simms? And do they make 3hp more? And what are they made out of? These are aluminium that help reduce sound and increase hp. They are 2kgs lighter than stock and you get a tool box. Cant beat that. Thay also deliver more HP under 5000rpm's then the acro's that are $1800 aus.

I took fyreguy73's XTZ for a ride today, it was good to meet you Rob it is always nice to put a face to name on the net.

The XTZ handles much better then I thought they would, you can feel the weight difference between the Z & X, the X has it's weight at a lower center of gravity which one would expect. I just found it interesting to ride the two bikes with the same motor, they feel so different. The fuel injection is very good.

The Z needs to breath more, it feels very restricted, I could not believe how much Hp difference there is between the two bikes. I will hopefully get a ride again once the XTZ with a stage 3 filter, PCV & pipe once it has been on the dyno.

The pipe looks good in the flesh, not to noisy & as the dyno sheet print shows an improvement over the standard pipe across the rev range. Comes with a storage compartment to match the Exhaust can.

Here are some other pic's for you.

Nice pipe you have there, Hoping that Wonky is going to come up with something like it soon. Christmas is coming and i think my 10 is in need of some :bling:

Now that's a sweet looking setup.

So the Tenere has been with our Antipadean friends for about 5 minutes, and they are already producing the right kind of cans, that suit the Tenere's rear. We've had the bike for close on TWO YEARS and still waiting for the right cans.......

I foresee a huge range or quality add-ons emerging from the South.

Only thing i'm not keen on is the pipe's end cap....

Wonky was working on Peg's too.....:thumbleweed:

I have emailed him a couple of times about the sump guard but not had a reply. I have also tried via his web site and via UKGSer site with no joy :sleepy3:

I liked that bloke, and I gave him more time than other suggested I should have however, he took offence to something me and him discussed, but I have no secrets in telling you how the story went:

As some of you know, initially he said he couldn't offer a discount to members, so I put it to the member's vote wether or not to allow him to become a sponsor even without a discount scheme.
The majority of you guys voted in favour, provided that he would at least make a donation towards the forum. He was pleased with that decision and said he would be coming back shortly with a donation, then there was silence for 2 or 3 weeks, next thing I know he sent me a pm telling me that due to bad circumstances, he was not in a position to offer a donation anymore, and that he would have looked at alternative ways to offer "some parts" with a possible discount...

If you know me, you'll know, I've no time for word games, and I am straight with people, I don't like messing people around no much more than them messing me so I told him bluntly: "one minute you tell me one thing, the next you tell me something else, I've got no more time for you"

He got the hump and told me where to get off, then he sent me a gift through paypal with a sarcastic remark to use them towards a good cause, not sure what he intended. But that's exactly what happened.

I have still kept his link in the sponsor page on our website because he did make a donation, but after that I heard nothing more from him.

I am sure my reaction was justified but hey you can't win them all.

well done capt he sounds like a **** and I prefer my pegs from the states that cost me $20 delivered :) plus metal bash plates just make bikes more noisey so I'll stick with my plastic fantastic - just need to produce a cheapotech fix for the waterpump
