X-Racing

I sent a mail off two days ago asking some questions, still no reply.....:063:

at this rate I'll need to take out a mortgage and buy the single can from OTR.....

There isn't really any saving getting a twin can system (I'm not concerned about the off-side look) but loosing some weight from the back end is a driver for me.

Took over a week to get a reply from them and that was after a phone call :ignore:

Yeah, same here. And after that I had to call again a couple of weeks later because I still hadn't got the email with all the details. The guy said he had sent it but for some reason it didn't reach me.

Well anyway, it took a while but the silencer itself is good and well worth the 300 euros. It is a bit loud though and as you can see from the pic I sent earlier, they have positioned it too close to the tail light. If the rear shock _really_ bottomed, the rear tire would propably hit the silencer.

Right now I also got a DNA air filter and a PC V, ordered from OTR with a map made for their single silencer system with the filter. Unfortunately that doesn't work well with the X-Racing's silencer; it's running too lean on lower revs, not responsing well on throttle and backfiring a lot. So I guess I have to take it to a dyno anyway.

And no, I haven't tried adjusting the CO value yet nor done anything to the O2 sensor.

tried to buy a can from these guys, International banking transfer only, bummer, cans are cheep and good looking but do you really want an IBAN transfer to buy an exhaust?

Please make it simpler.

If you guys are after a single exhaust, then while I would obviously recommend the SR Racing can from OTR, I believe there is an Australian guy/company working on a single can set up, together with a matching tool-tube on the right hand side...

If you have a look on the '2010 Tenere' thread on ADVrider, there are some pictures on there... at the moment he seems to have gone a bit Buck Rogers with the end caps (someone also joked they would make good orange juicers x), but I imagine the cost will be reasonable, even with shipping from Oz?

Worth a look, but like I say, my no.1 recommendation has to the SR can from OTR, especially if you get the 'JMo special' version without the cat and 4 inches shorter - mounts up nice and neatly, weighs almost nothing, and sounds fantastic!

Result all round!
