I once cut and shut a Motad Can for an FZR1000 to fit a KTM 640Duke.
Reckon a uncorked KTM LC4 enduro can would be a likely candidate for similar treatment to fit the tenere, and as the engine size/HP is similar it wouldnt be restrictive , though the ktm logo would have to be erased. |
could you post pics please?

Well the can has been fitted yesterday .much much better performance, especially much more torque.
Youll get to see 7k rpm at a glance on the highway, and less gear changing when in city traffic The sound is much more better and a little bit louder, but no dramas with the neighbors http://www.imageshack.gr/files/uftfo...78e9_thumb.jpg http://www.imageshack.gr/files/acz11...d8ul_thumb.jpg http://www.imageshack.gr/files/5fpvl...4umu_thumb.jpg http://www.imageshack.gr/files/bymaq...w3h8_thumb.jpg http://www.imageshack.gr/files/g9sni...kd1l_thumb.jpg |
That looks good Andy. I just ordered OTR pannier frames and I''m about to order X-Racing silencer as well. Any ideas if it will fit with the frames as it is or do I have to modify it?
How come it's so cheap compared to other brands? Is there anything "wrong" with it? Jami |

Hi there.... As far as i can see from the photos at OTR's site , you will not have any problems fitting the X-racing.You remove the originals , you put on the new one and that's it. I have the X-racing on my Ten for almost 3 weeks now, no problems till now at all. Its a little bit louder , and you will have more bangs and booms.....but it will be like riding another bike....:headbang: As far as i know its the second single system on the market...till now OTR had the monopole , so they could price their system as high as they wanted to.....and no I'm not an X-racing employee or something like that....:hello: |

Does the silencer get hot to touch, would it burn soft lugauge if it rested on it, unlike the standard ones which have a plastic shield over them. |

But it depends on your luggage.I use aluminum hard cases. |
