tank range xt660x

Just wondering how far anyone has managed on reserve(the light )before having to push the bike.heading to scotland next week and was thinking 80-90 miles to be safe for fuel stops.does 110 before reserve and 25 on the light sound about right.

In theory about 90-110 before light then you should have about 40-50 max before you are pushing but that all depends how you are riding and what weight you've got on your bike.
If you are heading into the more remote areas a lot of people tell you to fill up at every station you see as you never know how far the next one is

With the bike fully loaded incl pillion I did around 80kms before I had to push.

Well I went for a spin the other week, did 100.5 miles and only managed to squeeze 8 litres in the tank. That was steady 60-70 and with a bit of 80 on the dual carriage way.

So in theory, I could of got about 125 miles til reserve and another 63 mile til empty.

Have you room for a petrol can? Just for piece of mind....

134.5 to empty...

138.4 to the petrol station. Dunno why but i thought i'd get 20+ more....

With a fully loaded bike i managed to get 97km on the reserve light doing around 120km/h. At 140 to 150 km/h i only got 65km on the reserve light.

120 miles from filler neck to fuel light and thats spanking the b*tch!! been up to 150 miles without running out :eusa_clap:

Usually get 110+ before light comes on. The most I've had was 135. I never do more than 20 -30miles after the light comes on cos I dont want to have to push it.:clock:

last year i went up the highlands o Scotland wi Artvark fae holland... we both got great mileage consumtion... i got 73 tae the gallon an that was sitting around 55/60.

The fuel economy sounds better than i thought it would be, i"ll not be worrying to find petrol now if i know i can get 120-130 before running out . Thanks for the replies
