For anyone whos interested i got 130 miles and still no fuel light but it must have been very close to coming on. That was various roads with a blast at over 80 mph for about 15 miles which i thought would have drank the fuel, Once again the xt surprised me doing about 280 miles in one day on mostly back roads it was comfortable and fun.

After last service I was getting about 110ish miles till the light (commuting 7 miles with the first 2 or so in city traffic the remaining 4-5 on dual carriage way/a roads). Fill it back to capacity with about 9litres so I assume the max is about 140-150ish depending on the riding. Obviously Im not hammering it and rarely go over 80.

Would likely get more till light but I live at the bottom of a hill and every time I come home the light trips if Im around the 100 mark.

Testing our two XTR's for a big trip. Bike one = 06 did 145miles till the Ftrip then 65 miles till it stopped. Bike two = 07 did 137 miles then 46 miles till it stopped.

Both bikes unloaded and speeds up to 65mph.
