Maintenance tip

This may be of interest to other Teneherics! I have just had my 6000 mile service (211 for service including TKC80 tyres as a matter of interest) but my mechanic informed me that he had also taken out completely the screwed thread adjusters for the chain tensioning. The threaded studs go through to the cavity of the swing arm and can corrode at the end consequently damaging the alloy as they are undone. He greased them liberally as he knows that if they sieze he will have the problem of repairing and he has done quite a few on other types of bikes. This is well worth keeping an eye on as to drill out the old stud will require a very long drill bit or heating the swing arm will obviously damage the finish.
