Insipred by OGR and I think SteveD's posts on hanging stuff off the side of the tank, I found a use for a couple of cordura bags I had off a Hi-Tech rucksack.

The weight is supported by the steel pin that sits behind the tank side protectors and the frame. The fixing to the plastic guards at the front is just to stop them flopping around:







Inside each one I have a 3ltr drybag, Tool roll on the exhaust side and tyre kit, inner tube and a few odds and sods on the other side.
The outside of the plastic cover over the exhaust pipe doesnt appear to get that hot and as it only tools inside then i think it will be ok.
