Hello from the forests of Sweden

Thanks for letting us new guys say hello!

I might dissapoint some of you by starting off this membership by saying I do not own a xt... yet.

I'm currently looking to get one asap and will need plenty advice from you.
What I'm looking for is an XTZ Tenere. However, there's not a lot to be found. There's currently only one available, far away from where I live and very expensive compared to the XTRs at similar mileage.
Question now is will I be able to modify an XTR, within reasonable costs and time, to match an XTZ?

Things that are of importance for my vision;
Air in, air out, fuel. My friend owned an XTR with exhaust, airbox and pc mod that was benched to 50hp at the rear wheel. So much fun to ride, pretty easy on the wallet.
Suspension. I don't feel the need to put on WP48s since I don't really think there will be situations where I would need it. But a pair of stiffer/progressive springs in the forks is always nice.
Ground clearance. OTR exhaust would suffice for the extra mms I may or may not need.
Wind protection. I'm not willing to give away the look of the bike for an insanely large windshield. I'm riding with motocross helmet so if you do to, please advice me on a proper good, but smallish, screen.

All this aside I will try my best not to buy an XTR spontaniously. I also figure that prices will drop and more XTZs will be available once the T7 gets here, at least that's what happened to the Africa Twins.

Cheers!
