Katanamangler is on a distinguished road
Hello Hello

Hello All,

I will imminently become the owner of an XT660X I have always had a big trail bike in the garage for short haul and all year round riding. I have a number of other road and track bikes too, most of which are 80s and early 90s . I enjoy building bikes and do all of my own work and much of my own fabrication.. Traditionally my trail bikes have been 90s bikes bought cheaply and tweaked. Last one I had a DR650 and before that an XT600 ( which I fitted 17" three spoke alloy wheels to. I ran a R1150 GS for a couple of years in the Dr's place. Great bike but a bit on the lardy side. I'm looking forward to owning a lightweight single again.

I pick up an XT660 this weekend which is bog standard so I already have the Kev mods on order and I'm reading up on induction and exhaust configurations. I'm a fan of forums as a means of building up really good info on particular models and I look forward to making the best of my involvement here.

Cheers,

KM
