Tenere, rotor grinding on caliper

Been overhauling my front calipers as sticking. Have noticed that the NSF calliper has a notch in it where the rotor has been grinding on it. Anyone know what is causing this? Rotor doesn't appear warped although it has got red hot due to binding pistons ( hence the overhaul) . The rotor seems tight in its mountings and isn't floating, could it be off centre?
Thanks in advance.

I had the exact same problem, the forks were slightly twisted in the yokes causing the front end to sit out of alignment. Re-align the front end and it should be fine

Same here. Changed the discs and it was a massive improvement.
