New front springs, advice needed.

Hello members!

I couldn't get used to the fact that my xtx is weak in the front suspension.
when its on the side stand it will drop 2/3cm's.
and when braking hard it will dive hard.

i bought a hyperpro fork springs set, and kev spacers.
when fitting these progresive springs, do you recommend to also use the spacers?

the xtx is going to be driving fast and agressive.

Thanks for your help!

Personally I would not fit Kev's spacers with a progressive spring like the Hyperpro; they were designed for use with the stock linear spring to increase preload.

If you fit them with progressive springs all you will do is 'squash out' the first part of the lower rate end of the spring's range and push it into the higher rate end with no change in static ride height at all. You will more than likely find the result is a harsher ride and end up with the progressive spring rate functioning over a narrower overall range.

Progressive springs are normally supplied with a slightly longer free-length than the linear springs they are designed to replace anyway, negating the need for spacers and account for the 'softer' initial travel.

Setting preload and sag is a quite a complex art with progressive springs and isn't as simple as just chucking in spacers with linear springs.

Hyperpro Springs

I've just received my set of Hyperpro progressive springs and spacers for my 2012 660Z. Both the springs and spacers are shorter than the stock ones I removed. Is this correct ? The new set has been spec'ed for a combined driver and luggage weight of 150kg's.
