Collected the xt 660r today. 260 mile round trip and �90 well spent.

Bike looks awesome!..sounds epic with the Arrow cans too.

Rusty spokes and rust at the front of engine/down tube where there's no protection from road crud.Is a bash plate not standard?

De-grease and jet wash later I started to look her over.

Tyres down to 24 front,rears 14....

I have never seen an air filter in such a dirty condition. DNA Stages 1+2 ordered.

Oil and filter ordered.

Came with a new battery and spark plug.

Snorkel removed.

All the rust now chemically treated and painted a nice matt black.

Shes missing a bar end weight too,will i need another as Im planning on some hand gaurd's too,any suggestions?

Needs new front pads too soonish. Any recommendations?

Overall im very happy. Tired but happy!

The hand guards are up to you but when I had an xtr I had acerbic/Yamaha ones with the large ally bar with a ok sizes plastic guard. These took some battering over the years. There are a few similar with a larger plastic but are normally more expensive
