Done the first Garbage Run with Nathan Milward and 30 other maniacs the other week. Small cc low cost bikes were the name of the game. Anything from a Yamaha V80 to a CB200 dragged out of a shed after 30 years was ridden. I bought a CG125 for the ride which was faultless, uneventful and seriously unpowered, but seeing our beautiful country at 45mph rather than 65mph was extraordinary. Obviously not a XT post but just relaying the message that you can do an amazing journey on anything and have a fantastic time. I rode from Hastings to Lands End, up the West coast and along the top to John O'Groats and back down the East side back to Hastings. 2583 miles, 3 countries, 25 English counties, and 18 Scottish counties all in 12 days. My Kiwi friend made this short video of the trip. he was riding a C90 with a 125 Lifan engine in it which was a little ripper. It's Summer, get out there and ride !!!
