Hey all

I want to replace my indicator bulbs with LED's, but was wondering what effect this will have on the overall voltage of the system as I assume the resistance of the LED's will be less than the old filament bulbs

If I changed the bulbs would this have a negative impact on the rest of the electronics? I am not very clued up when it comes to electrical things but I assume the voltage across the loom will then be slightly higher?? And that may blow other bulbs etc etc

Can someone enlighten me and point me in the right direction?

I've also looked into swapping my original bulbs for led replacements,hell I've even bought some that I thought would do but are to tall compared to the standards and I can't refit the covers. I'm still contemplating buying some of the shorter than standard cob type bulbs as this will fit.
First things that will happen is the bikes standard flasher relay will let the led bulbs to fast ,as the current draw is less than expected it presumes one off standard would be out and this is your warning sign. This can be rectified buy swapping to a variable flasher that can be adjusted manually,from eBay about �1.
Don't worry about other parts of your bikes electrics being affected ,just think of indicators power being a normal 12 volt supply and the flasher relay turning it on and off.
