should I change oil again after burnt clutch replacement?

Recently dealer changed my tenere clutch plates and springs after stock one
was fried. They changed everything plus oil of course, but I was told I should change again oil and filter after around 600 miles. Is this necessary?

I would say it was not necessary. But For the sake of 35 for oil and fitter I would. No harm in it. The oil they put in will act as a flush.

thanks, but if that was a flush, shouldn't it be emptied? in case some derbies still existed?

Not the point, I want to understand reasoning here. Besides I have three bikes and don't want to put more money into then is needed.

when something burns or over heats the surface layer can crumble
and come off... clutch fiber is no diffrent..... Unlike the fiber on brake pads
that is designed for very high temps clutch fiber is softer...alot softer...
with a narrower temp range..
no motor can drain fully even after a flush a XT not only has the motor
but the oil tank ...

I have a Rekluse clutch in my XTR & TTR250 they get 1500km filter &
oil changes just to get rid of any clutch plate fiber that may be in the oil...

just put some cheap motor bike oil in it for a few 100 kms...

+1 I agree 100%. Burnt clutch material is a known engine killer, carbon being the hardest substance known to man apparently (except for motorbike seats).
