Hi all, looking at buying some new plastics the front lower ones , does any body know what year to go for , I really want black ones,not the grey ones that came with my bike,and last of all where's the cheapest to buy them??..just trying to plan a few things while I'm off the bike.

True..I'm just toying with ideas , I'm going to get some xr400 rear panels like Jenny Morgan had on hers,I like the look of them..

I ordered a black lower panel for the rhs of my bike by mistake from AJ Sutton, so, if your after a black rhs lower I'm your man. If it helps I ordered for a 2013 bike forgetting mine is 2011 model on a '13 plate !

They changed to black for the 2013 model year but ONLY for the blue bike, the matt grey one retained the grey panels. From MY2014 onwards they all have black panels, even the matt grey bike! So you've got to be a bit savvy.

Here are the parts numbers:

Black LH: 11D-E240J-10
Black RH: 11D-E240K-10

Grey LH: 11D-E240J-00
Grey RH: 11D-E240K-00

Only place you'll get them is from a Yamaha dealer, or from AJ Sutton as mentioned. They set you back the best part of �120 for the pair! Lucky Craig might be able to help you out.
