Sava tyres

Anyone know anything about these tyres?

They are made in Slovenia. Are a subsidiary of Goodyear. And they have several types on/off road and endure tyres.

They seem to be reasonably priced as well.

I just got a "Invader 24" fitted both front and rear. Said to be 30 off and 70 on road.

Anyone with experience with these tyres?

Sava....

Hi Snakeboy

Had them a few years ago - but on my car.
Name was Sava Intensa - and it was intense .
Since then i'm only driving Premium-tires.......

At the beginning nearly fine - not really good grip, but ok.
But after a few thousand they didn't get any grip on wet
streets . Was happy to remove them and get
normal ones.

But didn't drive any Moto-tyre from them and maybe in the meantime
they made some improvements.

Would pay some extra Pounds for the good and wellknown tires.

cheers, Andy

I have exactly the same tyres at the moment, but I can't comment on their off road performance, since I have not been off road with them. On road, I did not face any problem yet. I bought them due to their low price and only. Sava was bought from Mitas.

I have now approx 7500 kms on the Savas. The rear is near its end - maybe 1500-2000 more before it needs replacement. The front is however almost as new and shows very little wear.

I havent tried them much offroad but I would think they would perform like any other 30/70 - 20/80 tyre do.

On paved road they feel totally average. Not outstanding and not bad.

I guess its ok bang for the bucks.

I have tried a couple of Sava MC23 ROCKRIDER's on the front of my XT660Z and like them a lot. I ride mainly on dirt where they excel.

They are quite adequate on tar, but do tend to wear unevenly and rather quickly.

Unfortunately Sava do not make the MC23 in a 17", as some of my friends use them as rears on their KTM 990's and swear by them

I now run a Pirelli Scorpion Rally on the front and a 140 Mitas EO7 on rear.
