Is Seat Concepts an alternative to Touratech seat
Hi all, after my 7 hours in the saddle going to europe, my conclusion is that the standard XTZ saddle is just too soft and pins me down in one place. The Touratech high saddle would be the answer but ouch the price is just too much for me to swallow. Is the Seat Concepts a real alternative. I know you loose your stock saddle (having to use the stock base) but at half the price its surely worth it. Has anyone got experience with this seat for long distance travel?

I have the standard height SC seat and love it. The change in shape gives me an inch or so of movement and I've found that makes a world of difference. On long hauls I can sit back and stretch my arms as well as the small change in knee angle is very relieving. Didn't want to increase my seat height so this suits me perfectly.

Thanks Macca. Did you staple it yourself and are you happy with its looks?

Hi Jaques
I've just switched to the Kahedo-/Touratech-seat - new it was also too expensive for me - but i found a nearly new (4 cm higher) one for 220 Euros...... Before i had my original saddle pimped up by our local saddler. Would go to a local saddler - there you'll get definitely more than on your advertisement. You can choose the cover and the hardness of the foam plus take a seat before to make it matching for you (how close you hold your knees/legs and how hard the foam needs to be). The Kahedoseat is really the Ferrari-one and it's worth the price - would catch one from the marketplaces in the internet. Good luck and well-seating next travels on the Tn. regards, Andy |

Thanks for that Macca, no rush. I won't do my seat till winter. Cant not have a seat in summer, that would be a sin not riding. Good luck with the move and look forward to seeing your pictures when you can do it.

BTW almost every upholstery at least in UK and Czech Republic do the Motorcycle seats as well.
I have used them twice and I was always happy. It is cheaper than what you can get on the net and you can choose what you want (color, shape, soft/hard ) You need to give them your seat in order to do it obviously ![]() |
