Ecu and lockset compatability X,R,Z

Hey all,

I ve a question that i hope someone may help with,
My 2009 XT660z ECU has fried, i ve also lost the red key, my only option is to replace the ECU, Aerial transponder and lock set. Yamaha is expensive and second hand is, shall we say rocking horses.
Would a lock set and transponder from an XT660R or X be compatible with a new XTZ ECU from Yamaha?
Just trying to keep the costs to a minimum.

Many thanks

did you try ecu repair shops on the internet? my ecu was oke but had no key's and a broken transponder/antenna.
had it send to a shop here in the netherlands and after 450 euro they sold me a new immobilizer, all key's and reprogrammed my ecu. they do also ecu testing and repair.
so try the internet and phone several compagnies to ask
good luck

No unfortunately. They have a different loom and connector to the ECU.
