XT660R rear shock removal

Hi to all, a quick question, how the hell do you remove the top bolt of the rear shock on an XT660R. I have seen the thread on a Z,about drilling a hole in the airbox, but the R is different. Can the hole be drilled from the other side, i.e. behind the CDI. Otherwise you have to take half the bike and wiring to bits just to get the top bolt out. Or have I missed something. Thanks Alastair

You have to loosen the airbox and pull / push it to the back. If i remember right, it helps to undo the charging regulator.

salu2,
Joe
