Smile buy or not to buy

Hi guys, im new to the site.
was just looking for some good opinions. Im going to look at a 2005 xt660x in a couple of days. It appears to be in reasonable condition. Its got 19000kms on the clock and has had new sprocket and chain done recently.
I just want to know is there anything I should be looking for when I go for a look and do you reckon the k's are quite high for this bike?
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Welcome on board Carl.

I'd say 19K is a short distance for a nigh-on 10 year old bike to have travelled, that's only 1.9K a year. Hardly run in!

Just check all the usual stuff as you would on any second hand bike, but really focus on the steering head, suspension linkage and swingarm pivot bearings. It's probably also worth checking the ECU and TPS, both or which were recalls on early bikes and improved parts offered. Any evidence this has been done?

Hello Mate ,
I'd budget for a a new battery if it's still running the original. It's a buyers market at the moment so don't be afraid to haggle. Bikesales.com.au can be good for a quick comparison before you go.
