I'm fitting an inline EFI filter to xtx-pics to come

Hi guys,
alot of people dont recmmend fitting an EFI inline filter to the XtX but Im going ahead and doing it. Yesterday I had my fuel pump in and out of the bike half a dozen times swapping componemts etc tring to get my bike to start here in the Philippines with no access to a new filter. ( the one inside the tank).

I have 2 pump assemblies here and just realized yeasterday that the $25 universal intank fuel pump I bought here (for another project) is exactly the same as the Yammy one! the screen/filter was easy o rempove in the xtx but when you pull the filter assembly out of the tank theres a silly little plastic tab that gets in the way, so I cut it off (not needed anyway). everything just clipped together so these pumps are easy to work on.

anyway I have 2 filter screens that are dirty and look blocked so today Ill punch a heap of holes in the screen with a needle and hope some fuel will start flowing, then fit the high pressure EFI inline filter (if i can find one small enough!).

The fuel line is a hard plastic material so will need to be removed and a good quality flexable line will need to be used with proper fuel injection type hose clamps, not ordinary ones as Im sure these pumps will put out about 40psi...

I'll post pics as I go and show you guys how I've done it. Like Kev said it in another post, it may not catch water, but with the filter lying flat the water will sit at the bottom of the filter and be easier to replace in the future. I would still run some fuel conditioner/injector cleaner or something as an extra precaution.

well here goes, the kids are off to school and one again the work begins! just hope I can find a suitable inline filter here!
