            Is that possible?

             Hi Chaps,
Is it possible that since doing stage 1+ 2 filters, kev and O2 mod that Im using quite a bit less fuel? I havnt done the figures exactly yet but just looking at the fuel bars on the guage I was getting about 45 mpg now its over 60? Ive read on other posts that there may be an improvement but this seems too good? Cheers Spyke |

If i were you I would make sure it's not running too lean. If it's fine and the bike otherwise runs like a champ - enjoy.

If I set the Kev's mod to 3 O'clock the bike uses very little fuel... less power/ won't pull from low revs with out complaining loudly and the engine runs hot... From 6 O'clock up is best....

            Six o clock

I've got an off the road foam filter, snorkel removed, both Kev mods and an Exan 2 into 1 can and am running it at 6 o clock position and it feels great. I've not gone beyond that, but I have looked at my plug and it was the perfect colour. Not very scientific I know, but I am pretty confident I am not running too rich or lean.

I installed all the mods and rode the bike a few times before I fitted the can. The mods made a difference, but for me the magic only really happened when the can went on. Then it all came together. I rode mine and a standard bike back to back this week, and on mine, we both agreed the power came in earlier on mine, lasted longer (Effectively a wider power band), was smoother all over and especially on a constant throttle at say 50kph, and mine makes a very nice noise! The Exan is nicely made and very light, makes a nice noise but is not too noisy. |
