Your speedo will be over reading with a 14t, i usually assume around 10percent for safeties sake.

Your speedometer will show a higher speed than your actually driving. On my bike it shows 10-15% wrong, so when the meter says 100 km/h, my real speed is around 85 km/h, according to my gps.

You will be doin 25 if you do 30. Easiest way to check is run thru one of these 'your speed' radar thingys they attach to lamposts, that's what I did. At 65 speedo I was doing 60 so is just 5 mph at all speeds on mine.

Changed my 15 to a 14 a few weeks ago only got out yesterday to try it,not for me!!! shortens the gearing too much,I rarely use first gear apart from when I drop it in by mistake,it pepped the engine pick up a touch but I felt it lost the flexibility on the road,oh well you have to try these things.

Just to be different I went the other way and run a 16 tooth. Transformed the bike for me especially at low speeds, no more snatching and makes 1st gear very usable and still OK throughout the whole range. I have an X so no off road stuff.
