Side stand switch ?

While working on my bike today i realised that mine is missing !
Does it come with it's own loom ? and where does it plug into ?
A lot of the Yamaha switches look the same , will one fit from a different model ..

Yes it has its own loom and the connector sits under a rubber boot just behind the rear brake reservoir.

Same part as FZ6, FZ1 and FJR1300 that I know of (possibly others too). There will be a lot more of these models about at breakers I should imagine?

Or just make do without it? Many do...

On my last ride i replaced the original switch with a hydraulic pressure switch from kedo. It just replaced one of the banjo-bolts by the brake hose and is more immune to water, dirt and debris than the org switch.
