Checkin in!

Hi, Another Newbie! Two in one day, im sure its not a record....
I bought a XTR 3 weeks ago after being bikeless for nearly 7 yrs. Wife gave me a pass so I cashed it in before she changed her mind. I can honestly say its been like missing an arm or leg.

Nice to have a 2 wheeled apendage again. Bring on the mods and the trails.

Helmets earned by posting - the more you ramble on, the more helmets you get!

AFAIK, you do need to be a supporting member these days to get to use an avatar? However, you don't just get that privilage, you get access to manuals and downloads, PC maps and the highly useful "Ask Kev" section for individual technical queries. Oh, and did I mention stickers! All for the bargain price of ten English pounds.

Near the top left corner of the page, there is an option "User CP" , this is the user Control Panel, click on it.

You'll find yourself in a screen where you control many aspects of your account, email, privacy etc. Down the left side of the screen are a number of options, 'Edit Avatar' being one of them. Click on it, you get to upload an avatar.

I wouldn't worry too much about how many helmets you have, these change as we clear out old posts and chit chat. we don't take notice of helmets really, if you have something to say, say it, it's no less important just because you have less (or more) helmets than someone else.

Welcome along.

Thanks guys for the welocome and the info, it looks like I need to become a supporter.
I was wondering if there is a section on the forum to see where in the country other owners are for ride outs etc. Cambridge is very flat but we have twisties and trails and a few byways. More importantly good pubs and Ales!!
