            Sticky Seat Syndrome?

I have an 08 XTX which has developed an amazingly sticky seat.
The bottom of my jacket has become sticky, also the cheeky bit on my bike trousers. I have Gel inserts, but the sticky seems to be All over the seat, as if someone has sprayed something on it as a joke. Anyone else have experience in the sticky bottom department? What is it that has made it so? I've tried washing with washing powder+water, no joy there. I can scrape black off with my finger nail. ?

I had this on my 600E. Over a few weeks, the seat became more and more sticky. I did a bit of research (now forgotten the details, sorry) and it looks as though it was the resinous deposit from the trees round the house. Nothing -
nothing - would shift it. I tried all kinds of cleaners, solvents like petrol and thinners, WD-40, bleach, everything. All I got was an even muckier mess. As the seat cover was already starting to split, I just replaced it.
Sorry I can't be more positive

I'd rubbed the blue side parts of my seat with thinner and the stickness went away, I guess it make this parts lose it's texture and leave them a little dryer... But it cured the stickness ... The PO used to park it outside at the sun most of the day. -Good luck.!
