Hi, my project is almost done:

Springs - stiffer from Ohlins '52, it's ok but now the rear is to soft.
Front wheel - YZ Excel 1.60
Front tire - Metzeler Karoo T
Handle bar- Renhtal
Guard - acerbis, made from two models.
Mudguard - Polisport
Crash bars small - Touratech
Shift gear - Touratech
Footrests - china - very good for the money - 15 euro
Sump guard - handmade.
Toolbox, from the old model, perfect o put 2 tire levers, 22 key and few more.
Seat - handmade.
Rotor - wave 320мм / 5мм + adapter - work perfect, almost as the stock.
Steering lock - handmade
Now only the shock is must.

Hi ramarvarna,
great job on the YZ fork conversion. They are becoming a popular and affordable alternative to the WP conversion.

Im about to do a YZ conversion myself, I have all the parts sitting there ready to start.

How easy was it to make the YZ triple clamps fit the tenere steering head? I think I have read that a spacer is required as the new steering stem is slightly longer. Is the spacer just a flat washer type or is it something fancy that will need to be machined up?
Can you share any more details on the conversion, any problems along the way, or was it straightforward n simple?

Cheers mate,
Tim

Hi Tim,
you don't need any spacer, just press out your(xt660z)steering stem and press it in to YZ triple clamp, just swap it. You might need a washer on the top clamp, is depend of the model you will use.
Important - you need a big press(the one for wheel bearing will work) and the stem go out easy.
