the tube and air pressure will hold it in place ok and like its been said it only looks cosmetic so it should be ok. however fitting tyres is easy once you get the hang of it and damage like that should not occur. the trick is to always make sure the tyre already on the rim is sitting down in the well of the rim, not on the edge. put pressure on the tyre lever and then push the tyre opposite to make sure it slides down and the pressure you have on the tyre will ensure it stand down as you guide the tyre on. follow that rule and its dead easy.

Got it mounted and it is fine!

Hi Folks. With the help of a neighbor, I got the tire mounted and it is fine.

A tire dealer told me that the damage I did to the bead would have made the tire useless for a TUBELESS mount. But since it is a Tube Type wheel, no problem.

Thanks again for your kind replies. And yes, I'm a bull in a china closet with these things. I'm just glad I did not ruin the rims.
