I use an Optimate 4. Works brilliantly. 49.99 from M&P and you can get a 10% discount as your a member of XT660.com making it 45, nicely within your budget!

I've got an Optimate that's been on the wall for over 5 years, and still works perfectly.

I also have an unbadged one from Hein Gericke that was really cheap, still works after 4 years.

dont buy the oxford one, use to have an old optimate one after it broke the old man bought an oxford one (even though i said buy the optimate) and after 2 weeks (and only 3 uses) cables that come from the box split and bare wires were showing, but the old man didnt bother taking it back so taped them up, 2 weeks later wires fell off and too late to take it back. think that was about 60 down the drain

Optimate here too,the only oddity is the Mk1 version it has a different connector and isn't compatable with all the other versions, the MK4 and later will even take the battery on my Sprinter van to a full charge, earlier versions wouldn't.
