engine starts then stalls

I have got a problem with my 04 xtx in which the bike starts then after a minute or so just stalls no matter what the revs are at. engine starts again then stalls again. Problem just started with no signs of fault. I have the old type ecu could this have gone faulty and if so is it still replaced by yamaha?
